Prosecutors are seeking the same sentences for the pair. They are up for resentencing because of a broader court ruling regarding the constitutionality of life sentences for juveniles. Both were sentenced to life without parole. Taylor, now 21, was two months shy of 17 when the slaying occurred Maslamani, now 22, was four months from turning 18.
